Bresser Messier finder scope 8x50: aiming with upright image and illuminated reticle

The Bresser Messier 8×50 finder scope makes pointing your telescope much easier. With 8x magnification and a 50 mm (2 inch) objective lens, you can see stars that are invisible to the naked eye, and thanks to the large field of view of nearly 7 degrees, you can see a large portion of the sky. The image is upright, so it matches your star chart or app.

The reticle features adjustable red illumination and a 1-degree scale. This allows you to jump in a controlled manner from a bright star to a faint object: two degrees west, one degree north. The objective and reticle can be focused independently of each other, and the lenses are multi-coated.

Supplied complete

The viewfinder comes with a holder and a viewfinder shoe, so you can mount it directly on a Bresser Messier telescope. It also fits other brands, provided the tube has a standard viewfinder mount or you install a separate mount.

Featured accessories

If you mount your finder scope on a Messier OTA on an equatorial mount, the Bresser handle for Messier telescopes is a logical addition for safe lifting.

For whom yes and for whom no

  • ✓ Observers who manually search for objects using a star chart (star hopping)
