The L-Pro is Optolong's most refined broadband filter. With multiple precisely placed passbands, it blocks the emission lines of mercury and sodium lamps and natural airglow, while maintaining a near-neutral color balance. This makes the L-Pro the light pollution filter that is also suitable for galaxies, star clusters, and reflection nebulae: objects that lose their color with more aggressive filters.

As a clip-in filter, it sits directly in front of the sensor in the camera body. Every lens and telescope adapter remains usable, and the filter simultaneously protects against dust. This V2 version is the updated version of the Sony full frame clip, with improved fit within the body.
