The Easypic is the most sophisticated smartphone adapter in the series. Infinitely adjustable clamps and adjustable locking clips allow you to center the camera lens precisely above the eyepiece.

Why centering matters

In afocal photography, the camera lens must be positioned exactly above the center of the eyepiece. If it is off by just a few millimeters, you will get vignetting or a dark border around the image. An adapter that allows for precise adjustment therefore saves a lot of sliding around in the dark.

Widely applicable

The adapter fits eyepieces from 31 to 55 mm and virtually any modern smartphone. In addition to a telescope, it also works on binoculars or a finderscope.

Digiscoping with a phone through an eyepiece is called afocal photography. It works well on bright objects like the moon; for faint deep-sky objects, a real astro camera is needed.
