Omegon Color Filter Violet #47 2 inch: cloud structure on Venus
This violet filter was developed for details that are normally difficult to see. It works particularly well on Venus: cloud structures in the upper atmosphere come to light as the bright light is dimmed.
When observing the moon, the filter also helps by reducing harsh light. Violet is the most specialized color filter in the series: it reduces light very strongly and is intended primarily for one specific purpose.

Features
- Wratten #47, purple
- Specific to Venus
- Dempt very strong
- Standard 2-inch thread
Compatibility
For telescopes with a 2-inch light path and a generous aperture. Color filters work best on a telescope with an aperture of approximately 100 mm or more: the filter reduces light, and the aperture must be able to compensate for that.
