Omegon Red Color Filter #25 2-inch: The Standard for Mars Polar Caps
This red color filter blocks blue and green light almost completely. This creates a very strong contrast between bluish-tinted structures and the bright details on the surface of Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.
The filter is primarily used for the polar caps on Mars, where it is the standard choice. The strong attenuation does require a wide aperture: on smaller telescopes the image becomes too dark.

Features
- Warts #25, red
- Blocks blue and green almost completely
- Standard filter for the polar caps on Mars
- Standard 2-inch thread
Compatibility
For telescopes with a 2-inch light path and a generous aperture. Color filters work best on a telescope with an aperture of approximately 100 mm or more: the filter reduces light, and the aperture must be able to compensate for that.
