The Omegon Camera veLOX 662 C Color is a specialized planetary camera with the latest Sony IMX662 sensor. This sensor is designed to be extremely sensitive in low light and delivers exceptionally clean, high-contrast images. This allows you to capture fine details of Jupiter, Saturn and Mars with ease, as well as sharp structures on the Moon and Sun (with an appropriate solar filter).
The IMX662 sensor excels in high sensitivity and low noise, especially in the red and near-infrared spectrum. This allows you to take short exposures even in poorer seeing conditions and stack razor-sharp images with lucky imaging. Thanks to the built-in ST4 port, the camera also works excellently as an autoguider for deep-sky photography.
The compact aluminum housing fits into any 1.25″ focuser and connects directly via USB 3.0. Well-known software such as PHD2, N.I.N.A. and SharpCap recognizes this camera directly via ASCOM or INDI.
What you can do with it:
- Taking colorful pictures of planets, Moon and Sun
