ZWO ASI2600MM Duo Mono: top-class mono camera with built-in guider
The ASI2600MM Duo combines the monochrome 26-megapixel Sony IMX571 sensor with a built-in SC2210 guide sensor behind the same window. For mono imagers, this is especially valuable: the infrared-sensitive guide sensor looks ahead of the filter wheel, so guiding remains reliable while the main sensor images through a narrowband filter.
The main sensor delivers everything that made the 2600 series famous: 16-bit readout with 14 stops of dynamic range, quantum efficiency exceeding 91%, completely glow-free, and two-stage TEC cooling down to 35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature with polyimide anti-condensation heating.

Mono with less hardware
No off-axis guider eating up backfocus, no guidescope with flexure: the built-in guider makes the optical train shorter and more rigid, which is immediately visible in the star profiles during long narrowband exposures.
A cable for power and control suffices alongside USB 3.0.

Built for the Hubble palette
Without a Bayer matrix, the full sensor area goes to each channel. With a full well capacity of 80,000 electrons (image sensor) and read noise starting from 1.0 electron, H-alpha, OIII, and SII deliver deep, clean channels for SHO compositions.
Combine with a 36 mm or 2-inch filter wheel for vignetting-free changes on APS-C format.
Featured accessories
- ZWO Power Supply 12V/5A: required for cooling
- ZWO EFW 7x36mm II filter wheel: seven filters, no vignetting on APS-C
- ZWO H-Alpha SII OIII filter set 36 mm loose filters: the Hubble palette
- ZWO LRGB filter set 36 mm individual filters: the color base
For whom yes, for whom no
Hello narrowband photographers who want top-quality mono with a simpler, stiffer optical path.
Not Beginners in mono; then start with an ASI585MM or ASI183MM and grow from there.
