In a truly dark place, there is rarely a power outlet or laptop nearby. With this SQM-LU-DL battery holder from Unihedron, you charge the meter with batteries, so it can also measure independently all night long in a remote location.
The holder is intended for the Sky Quality Meter SQM-LU-DL. It records measurements with its own data logger, but it does need power to do so if there is no computer attached. For example, you can measure how dark it is in places where you the Milky Way wants to be viewed.
Use fresh batteries for a long measurement series, because cold nights drain batteries faster. After the measurement, read the data via USB and check that the series is complete before placing the meter back in storage.
If you also want to measure with a filter, there is The 1.25 inch filter adapter for the SQM-LU-DL.
