If you don’t want to take your refractor apart after each session, you need something that will keep dust and moisture out while it’s still in place. The TG-R5 from Telegizmos is a cover for a 5-inch refractor, about 127 mm. It goes over the tube, the focuser, and the viewfinder.
The cover is intended for refractors with an opening around 127 mm, like the ones you find at our Single refractor tubes. Refractors with the same opening can vary considerably in length.
Therefore, measure your tube, including the dew cap, diagonal and viewfinder, and compare that with the dimensions of the case. After observing the telescope, let it dry before covering it up, and put the lens cap on the objective lens.
