A NexStar 11 GPS is not lightweight, and after an evening of observing you’d rather not carry it around all the time. With a cover over your NexStar 11 GPS, you simply leave the telescope in place. Park the telescope before placing the cover over it in a fixed position so that the cover fits the corrector plate the same way every time. Put the dust cap on the corrector plate and let the telescope dry first after a wet night. If you have mounted additional accessories on the tube, then measure to see if they also fit under the cover.
To limit dew on the corrector plate, there is a dew band for 11 inch telescopes, and with a Two-channel regulator for fog lights set the heating on.
