With a Quark you can see filaments and protuberances, but capturing them only works with a camera behind the filter. With the DayStar Quark T2 adapter you can connect your Quark to a camera with a T2 connection. This way you can capture the chromosphere instead of just looking at it.
Many astronomical cameras for astrophotography already have a T2 threaded screw. For a DSLR or system camera, you also need a T2 ring that fits your cameramerk, for example a T2 ring for Canon EOS.
When shooting in H-alpha, you usually work with short videos where you stack the sharpest images, and a monochrome camera often provides the most detail. Always use the Quark with the full filter setup as intended and never look at the sun without those filters.
If the entire solar disk does not fit on your sensor, then it helps a reducer for more sun disk.
