A compact Schmidt-Cassegrain is easy to carry, but when transporting it, the collimation may be disturbed. These adjustment screws for a 5-inch SCT from Bob’s Knobs replace the collimation screws on the secondary mirror with screws with a large knob. This way you can adjust the mirror with your fingers without tools right next to the corrector plate.

The set is intended for 5 inch tablets. Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes with f/10 and metric threaded. Please check beforehand which type of thread your telescope has.

Replace the screws one by one so that the mirror does not detach, and then check the collimation on a star. Always turn a little bit more and check again in between. In our guide on how to adjust your telescope Read more about aligning your viewer.

If you have a 5 inch SCT with f/6, then there is one Set for the f/6 version.
