Behind the main mirror of a Newton are the screws that align the mirror. With many telescopes you need tools for that, and that’s quite inconvenient in the dark behind the tube. With these adjustment screws for a 10-inch Newton from Bob’s Knobs, you turn with your fingers at large knobs.
The set is intended for the main mirror cell of a 10-inch Newton telescope, like the ones you find in many reflector telescopes and Dobson's. The mirror cell differs merk per model, so check beforehand whether this set fits your telescope.
Replace the screws one by one so that the mirror does not shift. Then line up the aiming mirror and the main mirror again with a collimation cap or a Cheshire collimation eyepiece from Sky-Watcher. You can read about how that works step by step in our explanation about collimation.
If you have a 12-inch Newton, then there is one set for the 12 inch head mirror.
