If you want to focus more quietly at high magnification with your Lightbridge, or if you have a camera attached, the standard focus ring is often the one you encounter. When replacing the focus mechanism, pay attention to the mounting height: if the new focus mechanism is built lower or higher than the old one, the focusing point will shift. After assembly, check that all your eyepieces are still sharp and refocus, because a new focus mechanism rarely aligns exactly with the viewfinder right away.
