Anyone who walks a lot in nature and often looks far away wants more magnification without having to carry a large viewer. The Vixen SW 10×25 is compact and waterproof, with 10x magnification and lenses of 25 mm.
You can see birds, wildlife, or distant buildings with it, even when it’s raining. Compared to the 8x lens, you see more detail, but a smaller area of landscape and a bit more movement of your hands. See also our binoculars for birds if you want to see mostly birds.
The exit pupil is 2.5 mm, so in low light the image becomes less clear. Therefore, you should use this viewfinder mainly during the day. After a rainstorm, you should briefly dry it off before storing it.
If you prefer a wider and quieter image, there is the SW 8×25 WP.
