On a boat, in the stands, or during a walk, you often have nowhere to lean against, and then the image of a 10x viewer dances along with your hands. The Vixen Atera II 10×21 is a compact binoculars with image stabilization that compensates for that shaking, so the image stays steady.
This allows you to see details that you miss with a standard 10x viewfinder. With 21 mm lenses, the exit pupil is 2.1 mm, so it performs best in daylight. It belongs to our Hiking and travel enthusiasts.
First, set the focal length properly so that you see one full frame image. If you mainly look at twilight or the starry sky, larger lenses provide more light, as in the Atera II 14×42.
In the same series there is also the Atera II 12×30 with more magnification and larger lenses.
