A telescope rarely produces a completely evenly lit image. The edges are often slightly darker and each speck leaves a shadow. The DayStar flat cap FC130 is used to create flat frames: shots of a uniformly lit surface through your own optics. Stacksoftware uses those flats to account for vignetting and speck shadows.
Flat caps are used for all sorts of things telescopes for astrophotography, As long as the measurement is correct. Measure the outer diameter of the front of your tube or hood and choose the cap that fits that measurement, because a cap that fits well keeps stray light out.
If you prefer to shoot your flats immediately after your light frames, with the same focus, camera setting, and filter. Also, create a series of dark flats with the same exposure time; then you can also correct the noise in your camera in the flats.
If the FC130 doesn't fit, then compare it with the flat cap FC140.
