The Omegon Pro RC 203/1624 In carbon fiber version, 8-inch hyperbolic quartz optics (f/8) combine with the best mechanics of the RC line: carbon tube, 2-inch linear bearing focuser, and tilt adapter. Quartz maintains its shape during temperature changes, carbon holds the focus point: together that means sharp frames from evening to morning.

A Ritchey-Chrétien uses two hyperbolic mirrors: the design of virtually every professional observatory. The result is a large, coma-free field of view without a corrector: stars remain round all the way to the edges of the sensor.

Quartz plus carbon: focus that endures

The ball-bearing linear bearing focuser supports full camera trains without sagging, and with the tilt adapter you align the sensor exactly perpendicular to the optical axis. The integrated baffle structure suppresses stray light for maximum contrast.

With a 1624 mm focal length, this is the imaging scale for galaxies, planetary nebulae, and globular clusters; the Losmandy dovetail belongs on an EQ6-class mount.
