Vaonis Vespera Solar Filter: Astronomy in Daylight
With the Vaonis solar filter, you can use your Vespera during the day as well: safely pointed at the sun. The filter with special solar filter glass clicks onto the front of the station and dims the sunlight to a safe level, allowing you to follow and capture sunspots live on your screen.
In the Singularity app, you activate the special sun mode: the Vespera will automatically find the sun and keep it in view while you comfortably watch on your phone or tablet.

Sunspot tracking
Sunspots are cooler, darker areas on the sun's surface and change from day to day. With the Vespera, you can capture that development in a series of shots, a fascinating project that takes place entirely in daylight.

Safety first
Never look at or photograph the sun without a certified filter on the front of the optics. This filter is designed for the Vespera's lens; check the glass for damage before each use.
Included
- Vespera sun filter with glass filter element
Featured accessories
The solar filter turns the Vespera into a daytime telescope. For the nights, the CLS filter and the dual band filter complement the station: together, the three filters cover virtually every observation situation.
For whom yes and for whom no
- ✓ Vespera owners who also want to use the station during the day
- ✓ Those who want to track solar activity in a series of recordings
- To see detailed prominences: you need an H-alpha solar telescope, not a white light filter
