Building, aligning, and collimating a 10-inch Newtonian on an equatorial mount takes time. Instead, leave the setup as it is, and then you need a cover for a 10-inch Newtonian that keeps dust, dirt, and moisture out. The TGN-1 from Telegizmos is designed for that.
The cover is made for a 10 inch Newton on a German equatorial mount. An example of such an arrangement is the Explorer-250PDS on an EQ6-R Pro.
Set the telescope in parking position for covering and measure the setup in that position, including the viewfinder and focus ring. A Newtonian has an open tube, so also attach the dust cap to the front. Let the telescope dry first after a wet night before covering it. If you still need to re-collimate, then a collimator will help. our guide on collimating.
If the display is outdoors all year round, then also compare it with the T3-N1 from the 365 series.
