Bresser MCX102 Dew Shield: Longer viewing on damp evenings

The Bresser dew shield for the MCX-102 GoTo telescope protects your Maksutov's corrector lens from fogging up. On humid evenings, the glass at the front of the tube cools down quickly and condensation forms; this shield significantly slows down that process, so your session doesn't end prematurely with a blurry image.

Additionally, the cap acts as a stray light shield. Light from streetlights or the moon that falls at an angle is blocked, which immediately results in more contrast. And during the day, the cap protects the glass from dust, scratches, and fingerprints. You screw the cap onto the internal thread at the front of the tube; once tightened, it is securely attached.
