The ATR2600C has the Sony IMX571, an APS-C sensor with 6224 x 4168 pixels of 3.76 micrometers and a diagonal of 28.3 mm. This provides a large field of view, allowing large nebulae and star fields to fit into a single shot. The camera calculates native in 16-bit, providing about 14 stops of dynamic range.

The two-stage Peltier cooling with adjustable fan brings the sensor to 42 degrees below the ambient temperature, so you can also photograph at stable temperatures of -5 to -10 degrees in summer nights. There is no amplifier glow and the window has heating in four settings.

For those who are making the transition from a system camera or a DSLR: a cooled astro camera has much less heat build-up and lacks the filter that blocks H-alpha light.

For cooling, the camera needs a stable 12 volt power supply of 3 amps. The power adapter is included; you can also use a good lithium battery from 11 to 14 volts outside.

The camera works with ToupSky, SharpCap, N.I.N.A. and other programs via ASCOM or INDI. Please note: the ZWO ASIAIR only supports ZWO cameras. If you want to work wirelessly, the ToupTek StellaVita is the controller that comes with this camera.

Who is this camera for?

Hello Anyone who wants to seriously photograph deep sky in color using a refractor or astrographe that properly illuminates the APS-C field of view.

Not Those who mainly do planet work; the pixels are too large for that, and a G3M678C is more logical.
