An off-axis guide sits between your telescope and your camera and mirrors a small piece of light from the edge of the field of view to a guide camera. You then guide it through the main telescope itself. This is more accurate than a separate guidecope, especially at long focal brandlengths, because bending of the setup is not a factor.
The OAG-L is 17.5 mm thick, so most cameras have enough space left over for the correct distance from the sensor. The prism measures 10 x 10 mm with a usable opening of 10 x 7 mm. This version has an M48 connection and fits all ToupTek ATR cameras and cameras and accessories from other well-known brands.
Who is the OAG-L for?
Hello who shoots with a brandtelephoto lens from about 800 mm.
Not For those working with a short refractor, a guide scope like the GS-250AR is easier to use.
