10-inch with wooden rocker box and 9×50 finder!
The Omegon Advanced Dobson 254/1250 is the classic 10-inch from the Advanced line: parabolic mirror, wooden rocker box, and a large 9×50 finder scope. Approximately 1300 times more light than the naked eye brings globular clusters and galaxies within reach. A Dobson consists of two parts: tube and rocker box. Set down, point, observe. No alignment, no electronics, maximum mirror per euro.

10 inch parabolic optics
With the two included eyepieces, you cover wide-field and medium magnification; practical usability is up to approximately 350x, depending on the atmosphere. The f/4.9 optics require precise collimation and the 9x50 finder shows fainter guide stars than the usual smaller finders.

Wooden rocker box with Crayford
The wooden rocker box rotates smoothly on Teflon bearings and the 2-inch Crayford focuser sharpens on ball bearings, even with heavy 2-inch eyepieces.

Included
- Newtonian optics 254/1250 with parabolic primary mirror
- Wooden Dobson rocker box
- 2 inch Crayford focuser with 1.25 inch adapter
- Two eyepieces
- 9×50 viewfinder
Featured accessories
The Omegon laser collimator (44.90 euros) is indispensable at f/4.9. An Omegon UWA 6 mm eyepiece (208x, 59 euros) provides high-detail magnification, the Omegon Pro UHC 2-inch (89 euros) brings nebulae into sharp focus, and an Omegon 13% 2-inch lunar filter (34.90 euros) dims the bright Moon. For transport, the Newton 250/1250 carrying case (99 euros).
For whom yes, for whom no
Good for: deep-sky observers who appreciate the wooden rocker box and large finder. Not for: those seeking the latest comfort; the ProDob 254 offers fine focus and friction system in the same size. Compare both on the Dobson page. Meer Omegon stands on the merk page.
