Celestron StarSense Autoguider V2: Align and Guide with the Push of a Button
The Celestron StarSense Autoguider V2 replaces three things at once: manually aligning your telescope, a separate guide scope, and a separate guide camera. This compact unit on your Celestron mount recognizes star patterns and handles alignment, GoTo correction, and autoguiding completely on its own.
The V2 is the successor to the first model and has a screw-on dew shield that keeps the optics free from dew and stray light.

Aligned in three minutes
After startup, the StarSense photographs the sky, recognizes star patterns, and automatically aligns the mount without you needing to point out stars yourself. The telescope is ready in about three minutes.

Accurate Go-To and Autoguiding
The camera improves the pointing accuracy of your mount, so that objects appear centered in the frame, even at high magnification or on a small camera sensor. During long exposures, it continuously corrects tracking for point-like stars.

Assisted pool establishment
For astrophotography on an equatorial mount, assisted polar alignment guides you through an exact alignment to the celestial pole in about five minutes, even without a clear view of Polaris.

Thoughtful technique
Inside, there's a four-element optical design and a sensitive monochrome Sony IMX462 sensor with its own onboard computer. You control the system via the NexStar+ hand controller, the SkyPortal app, or the free CPWI software, and firmware updates keep the functionality current.
Included
- StarSense Autoguider V2
- Screw-on lens hood
- AUX cable for connection to the mount
Featured accessories
The StarSense Autoguider connects to an AUX port on your Celestron mount, never to the autoguider port. Works with most current motorized Celestron mounts, both alt-azimuth and equatorial, including the Advanced VX.
For whom yes and for whom no
- ✓ Astrophotographers wanting guiding without a separate guidescope, camera, and laptop
