Eight-inch opening: the deep-sky machine among the Zoomions

The Zoomion 200 mm EQ (Genesis 200 EQ) with its 203 mm aperture captures over 800 times more light than the naked eye. This makes details visible that remain hidden in smaller telescopes: the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, the Cassini Division in Saturn's rings, and the structure of nebulae such as M42 in Orion.

Stable EQ-4 mount

The EQ-4 mount forms a solid base and makes manual tracking along the celestial axis simple: after aligning on Polaris, you can smoothly move objects through the field of view with a single axis. The construction is sturdy enough for higher magnifications and can later be expanded with an optional tracking motor.

Fast f/3.9 system with quality eyepieces

De brandpuntsafstand van 800 mm en het snelle f/3,9-systeem leveren een helder, breed beeldveld: ideaal voor grote nevels en open sterrenhopen. De drie Plössl-oculairs (25 mm, 12 mm en 6,5 mm) geven 32x tot ruim 120x, de 6×30 optische zoeker vindt objecten snel en het maanfilter houdt de volle Maan rustig. With the Omegon Smartphone Adapter 25 to 48 mm (14.90 euros) you take your first Moon photo through the eyepiece. The bright Moon requires short shutter speeds, so the lack of automatic tracking doesn't play a role there.

Suitable for: Beginners and advanced users who want maximum aperture for deep-sky observation and the ability to learn to track along the Earth's axis. Not suitable for: Those who want to observe in a lightweight and mobile setup; an 8-inch Dobsonian offers the same aperture with simpler setup and less weight.
