Safely view the sun, without loose filters
The Acuter Solarus-80 is a specialized white light solar telescope with a permanently mounted glass solar filter. With a regular telescope, you first have to attach and check a separate filter, but here the safety is built into the instrument itself: the filter meets the ISO 12312-2:2015 standard for direct solar observation. Point, focus, and you'll see sunspots, surface details, and planetary transits across the sun.
Zoom eyepiece and filter wheel for more contrast
The built-in zoom eyepiece switches between 25x, 40x, and 80x magnification: from the full solar disk to a close-up of a sunspot group. The rotating filter wheel contains six pre-mounted filters (red, yellow, blue, green, orange, and neutral gray) plus an empty slot, allowing you to adjust the contrast of sunspots and limb darkening to your preference.
Complete, ready for your tripod
The Solarus-80 comes with a safe solar finder, a 90-degree zenith mirror, and a universal smartphone adapter to photograph your observations. Via the side-mounted 45mm Vixen rail, you can mount the tube on almost any alt-azimuth mount or a sturdy photo tripod. With an 80mm aperture and 400mm focal length, this is a lightweight and portable instrument for any sunny day.

The Solarus-80's solar filter is permanently mounted and meets ISO 12312-2:2015 for direct solar viewing. Inspect the filter for damage before each use. Never look at the sun through a regular telescope, binoculars, or finder scope without a certified solar filter attached to the objective end.
