Sky-Watcher AZ-GTiX: two telescopes, one mount, zero cables
The AZ-GTiX is the dual-saddle version of the popular AZ-GTi: two Vixen saddles on a GoTo head, allowing you to carry two telescopes at once. Think of a wide-field scope alongside a Maksutov for detail, a telescope next to binoculars or a camera, or simply observing together with two eyepieces on the same target.
The built-in Wi-Fi creates its own network to which you connect using the free SynScan app: choose an object on your phone and the servomotors automatically slew to it, after which the mount continues tracking. The encoders (Freedom-Find) also allow you to move the telescope manually without losing alignment.
This set is complete with a tripod; in addition, the head fits on any photographic tripod with a 3/8-inch connection. With a payload capacity of 6 kg at a weight of only 2 kg, this is one of the most portable ways to seriously take GoTo on your travels.
