Askar AP 160/1120 Triplet OTA is a top-of-the-line apochromatic refractor designed for advanced astrophotographers and observatories. With an aperture of 160 mm and a focal length of 1120 mm, this triplet lens delivers high-contrast, color-error-free images - ideal for detail-rich deep-sky photography and planetary observation.

Despite the large opening, the telescope remains compact. Retracted, the tube is only 883 mm long, making transport and mounting easier. The CNC-machined housing has a robust finish and integrated extensions, allowing you to flexibly switch between photography and visual observation, even with a binoviewer.

The 3.5″ rack-and-pinion focuser with 1:10 reduction allows extremely precise focusing, even with heavy cameras or filter wheels. With 100mm setting range, scale and anti-reflection coating, it is suitable for the most demanding setups. The 360° rotator with sturdy locking screw makes it easy to find and secure the correct framing.

Thanks to the wide Losmandy rail and sturdy tube rings, you mount the AP 160/1120 stably on heavy mounts such as the Sky-Watcher EQ8-R or EQ8-RH. The integrated slot handle provides additional options for attaching accessories such as a guidescope.
