The TeleVue Powermate 2.5x 1.25" is an advanced further development of the classic Barlow lens. With a 2.5x magnification This Powermate extends the effective focal length of your telescope while fully maintaining image quality - both visually and photographically.

Unlike traditional Barlows, the Powermate works with a complex optical system that transmits the light beam parallel to the eyepiece or camera. This ensures stable image quality, even with fast telescopes.

Four elements for maximum correction

The Powermate consists of 4 lens elements in a combination of negative and positive working lenses. This construction ensures an excellently corrected image with high edge sharpness in virtually all optical systems.

Because the light beam remains parallel, the eye relief is not further increased with eyepieces of longer focal length. This prevents vignetting and maintains familiar viewing comfort. This design also produces a flat and high-contrast image for photography.

Thanks to the parallel beam path, this Powermate is also particularly suitable for use with H-alpha systems.

Robust construction and practical details

The housing is made of aluminum and offers a very stable construction. The integrated 1.25" snap ring ensures secure and even clamping of eyepieces or camera adapters.

Additionally, the Powermate features a 1.25" filter thread, so that you standard 1.25" filters direct use.
