While the LE Planetary series offers 55 degrees, the Super LE opens up the image to 68 degrees. You get the comfort of a long eye relief with the generous window of a true wide-field eyepiece.

The combination of a wide apparent field of view and a 20 mm eye relief is rare among short brand-focus telescopes. You can observe comfortably, with or without glasses, while objects remain in view for a long time. On a Dobsonian without a tracking motor, that makes a merkbar difference.

Optics for contrast

Multi-layer coating on all air-glass surfaces maximizes light transmission and keeps reflections low. The sky background remains dark, making faint planetary detail and compact deep-sky objects stand out better.

The edge sharpness is high, even on faster telescopes where simple eyepieces degrade at the edge.

Solid construction

The 1.25-inch barrel has filter threads, the eyecup is adjustable, and the housing is built for years of nocturnal use. An eyepiece in this class typically outlasts the telescope you buy it for.
