Omegon Dew Ribbon 70cm - Keep your telescope free of dew - all night long
During clear but humid nights, condensation can quickly ruin your observation. Eyepieces, lenses and corrector plates fog up, causing details to be lost. With the Omegon dew tape, your optics stay just warm enough to prevent dew formation, so you can continue observing undisturbed.

Flexible, fast and easy to use
You simply wrap the dew tape around the tubus, corrector plate or eyepiece. Thanks to the flexible strap and sturdy Velcro closure, the ribbon always fits perfectly and stays reliably in place. After use, store it compactly in your case or accessory bag.

Efficient and even heating
The dew tape operates on 12 V DC and distributes heat evenly along its entire length. It maintains a few degrees above ambient temperature - just enough to prevent condensation without consuming unnecessary energy. For even more control and longer battery life, the ribbon can be connected to a pulse controller.

Why dew formation occurs
Like glasses in cold air, moisture condenses on cooled optics. This dew tape prevents your telescope surface from falling below the dew point. This allows you to continue observing even when others already have to pack up their equipment.

Durable and thoughtful design
The heating element is 20 mm wide and securely incorporated on the inside of the belt. The total belt width is 44 mm. The outside is black, the inside red, and the whole is made of abrasion-resistant cordura/nylon.
