A dew strap works differently than a dew shield. Instead of shielding the optics, it holds the glass edge a few degrees above the dew point. This prevents water vapor from condensing on it, even at high humidity.

Bij een Newton is de vangspiegel vaak het eerste dat beslaat: hij hangt boven in de open tubus, direct blootgesteld aan de nachtlucht. Een dauwkap helpt daar niet. Dit korte lint wikkelt om de vangspiegelhouder en houdt de spiegel net boven het dauwpunt.

Applying and adjusting

Wrap the strap around the eyepiece, lens, or tube. The flexible design conforms to the curve, and the hook-and-loop closure secures it in place. A controller allows for stepless power adjustment.

Featured accessories

All LED strips in this series operate at 12V and have an RCA connector. For stepless dimming, use a controller; without a controller, the strip always runs at full power.
