Sky-Watcher AZ4-2 with RVS Tripod: No-Frills Load Capacity
The AZ4-2 makes aiming a medium-sized telescope easy and smooth. The separate friction clutches on altitude and azimuth give complete control: you push the tube to the target and it stays exactly where you release it. With an 8 kg payload capacity, it can clearly carry more than the average entry-level mount.

The mount comes with a standard Sky-Watcher dovetail clamp and an L-bracket, allowing you to mount a spotting scope or camera as well. The stainless steel tripod (up to 121 cm) keeps the setup stable, even with a longer tube.
Included
- AZ4-2 mounting head with friction couplings
- Vixen-style dovetail clamp and L-bracket
- Stainless steel tripod (up to 121 cm)
For whom yes, for whom no
For: visual observers with a medium refractor, Maksutov, or short Newton who want to look without power and settings. Not for: those who want fine adjustment with slow-motion cables, choose the AZ5 Deluxe; those who want automatic searching, the AZ-GTi.
