The Bresser Messier Hexafoc 203/1200 is an 8-inch no-frills Dobson. Large parabolic mirror, smooth rocker box, ready to go. With a 203 mm aperture, it captures over 800 times more light than the naked eye. This brings galaxies, nebulae, and fine planetary details within reach. A strong choice for the ambitious beginner and a favorite among experienced observers.

8 inch parabolic optics

The main mirror is made of low-thermal-expansion glass. This means rapid cooling and stable images. The focal length of 1218 mm (f/6) is a nice middle ground: enough field of view for large nebulae and enough focal length for planets at high magnification.

2.5-inch Hexafoc Focuser

The Hexafoc has a free aperture of 2.5 inches. Heavy 2 inch eyepieces do not shift or vignette. Adapters for 1.25 inch and 2 inch are included, as is a 37.5 mm extension tube.

Portable and quick to set up

The rockerbox is detachable, and you can remove the tube with the two tube clamps. This way, this 8-inch can also be moved to a dark observation spot. The included objective solar filter allows for safe solar observation.
