Omegon Pro LRGB CCD filter set 1.25 inch: the Pro version for maximum color depth

With this Pro LRGB filter set, you get the absolute most out of a monochrome CCD or CMOS camera. A color camera uses a fixed Bayer mosaic for color separation, meaning only a fraction of the pixels is used per color. A monochrome camera captures each channel separately using the full resolution of the sensor. This results in sharper and more detailed images.

The four channels

Luminance (L) transmits all visible light while blocking UV and IR radiation, allowing you to capture all details and structures with maximum sharpness. Red, green, and blue provide the color information used to build the image.

What the Pro version adds

The Pro filters are tuned for a more precise color balance between the channels. As a result, you need to correct less when combining them, and the exposure times per channel are closer together.

Observation goals

This set is intended for deep-sky objects that emit in a broad spectrum: galaxies, globular clusters, and reflection nebulae. Planetary photography with a monochrome camera is also done via RGB channels.
