The result is a reduced and corrected field: stars remain round into the corners, even on larger sensors.

What the factor 0.7x yields

After reduction, the telescope operates at 280 mm at f/3.9. The field of view becomes wider and the exposure time per shot shorter, allowing you to collect more signal in the same night.

The back focus follows the industry standard of 55 mm: common combinations of filter drawer, filter wheel, and camera fit without calculations.

Internal filter wire

There is an internal M48 filter thread on the camera side. A dual-band or light pollution filter screws directly into it, without a separate filter drawer in the backfocus.
