Omegon Pro UHC Nebula Filter 1.25 inch: narrowband contrast on emission nebulae

UHC stands for Ultra High Contrast. This narrowband filter primarily allows the OIII and H-beta lines to pass through while virtually completely suppressing disruptive city light. As a result, the sky background becomes deeply dark, while emission nebulae light up.

The difference is most apparent on objects like the Veil Nebula and the Lagoon Nebula, where filaments and edges become visible that are barely noticeable without a filter. Even under a dark sky, the filter provides extra contrast.
