De Omegon Brightsky 22×70 met 90 graden inkijk is een grote astronomische verrekijker met verwisselbare 1,25 inch oculairs, magnesium behuizing en stikstofvulling. Deze uitvoering komt in de bijpassende harde koffer, zodat je hem direct veilig meeneemt.
Met 70 mm opening en 22x vergroting is dit het model waarmee de meeste waarnemers in deze lijn beginnen: licht genoeg voor een gewone vorkmontering, ruim genoeg beeldveld voor sterrenvelden en kometen.
70 mm en 22x: overzicht met detail
Twee objectieven van 70 mm vangen samen ruim twee keer zoveel licht als een enkele 70 mm kijker, en je hersenen combineren beide beelden tot een rustiger en dieper totaalbeeld. Bij 22x vergroting zie je de manen van Jupiter, de fasen van Venus en de grotere bolhopen als korrelige wolkjes.
Het werkelijke beeldveld van 3,3 graden is ruim: de hele Plejaden passen erin, net als de Andromedanevel met zijn begeleiders. Overdag betekent dat 57 meter breedte op een kilometer afstand.
90-degree viewing angle for the zenith
With a 90-degree viewing angle, you look into the eyepieces from above, just like with a refractor with a star diagonal. Objects directly overhead, where the sky is darkest and most transparent, can be viewed without straining your neck. That is why most astronomical users choose this variant.
For observations low on the horizon, the 90-degree position is less convenient: you then stand bent forward. For predominantly daytime observation, the 45-degree version makes more sense.
Fully multicoated achromatic optics
The objectives and prisms are fully multi-coated. This keeps light transmission high and suppresses internal reflections that affect contrast in bright objects. At this price, you get the aperture and interchangeable eyepiece concept of the top class, without the extra cost of ED glass.
Near the moon's limb and bright stars, a slight color fringe is visible, which is normal for an achromat of this aperture. Anyone who finds this distracting can choose the ED-APO version of the same model.
Interchangeable eyepieces and filter thread
By default, two 18 mm flatfield eyepieces with a 65-degree apparent field of view are included. They are 1.25 inches, so you can replace them with any pair of eyepieces from your telescope case. For example, two 10 mm eyepieces provide a higher magnification for the moon and planets.
Both eyepiece holders have 1.25-inch filter threads. A pair of UHC filters enhances the contrast of nebulae from a light-polluted environment. Each tube has its own focusing mechanism, allowing you to precisely adjust the viewer to your eyes.
Mounting a tripod
Met 3,9 kg is dit geen kijker die je uit de hand gebruikt. Op een stevige fotostatiefkop kan het, maar een vorkmontering zoals de Omegon Pro Neptune werkt beter: die draagt tot 9 kg, laat de kijker vrij bewegen van de horizon tot het zenit en houdt het beeld stil bij 22x.
Reken de montering en het statief mee in je budget. Een kijker in deze klasse is met een te licht statief onbruikbaar, en dat zeggen we liever voor de aankoop dan na de eerste avond.
Included hard case
This version comes in the matching Omegon hard case with custom foam inlay. Two locks, a sturdy handle, and an impact-resistant exterior protect the optics in the car and in the attic. Purchased separately, the case costs considerably more than the price difference compared to the bare telescope.
