Omegon Dust Cover for 304 mm OTA (Optical Tube Assembly): closes the opening when the tube is not in use

In a reflecting telescope, the primary mirror is at the bottom of the tube, with the opening as the only way out. Anything that enters through that opening will eventually hit the mirror. Dust can be blown away, but cleaning a mirror is work you'd rather not do, and it doesn't do the coating any favors.

This cover seals the opening once you are finished observing. This keeps the inside of the tube clean and you need to touch the optics much less often.

Compatibility

Suitable for 12-inch tubes such as the Omegon Pro Astrograph 304/1200, the Advanced X N 304/1500 and the ProDob N 304/1500 DOB II. When in doubt, measure the outer diameter of your tube, as it differs from the mirror's aperture: an 8-inch Newtonian typically has an outer diameter of around 235 mm.
