Omegon AZ-Baby Altazimuth Mount: one kilo, take it anywhere

The AZ-Baby is an ultra-compact alt-azimuth mount for small telescopes. Weighing only about a kilogram, it fits in any suitcase, and despite its size, it moves smoothly and precisely.

What fits

The mount holds telescopes up to 4 kg with an objective diameter of up to approximately 100 mm: small refractors, Maksutov tubes, or lightweight Newtonians. The GP dovetail clamp accommodates any optical tube with a Vixen profile.

Azimuthal means simple

An altazimuth mount moves left, right, up, and down, just as you would intuitively expect. No polar alignment, no counterweight. Set it down and observe. That makes it suitable for quick or spontaneous observing.

Featured accessories

The 3/8-inch tripod mount fits photographic tripods. Choose a tripod that is sturdy enough: with a lightweight mount, the tripod is usually the weak link.
