Omegon H-Alpha Filters - see hydrogen nebulae that normally disappear
Looking through your telescope and notice that faint nebulae often disappear in ambient light? The Omegon Pro Veil H-Alpha 3nm filter solves that right away. It blocks interfering artificial light and lets only the red light from HII regions through. This makes hydrogen nebulae, such as the Orion Nebula or Pelican Nebula, stand out immediately.
More contrast, more details
The selective pass of the H-alpha filter darkens the background and brings out the nebular structures sharply. You can see fine details that would otherwise be lost, even under urban light pollution.

Flexible for visual and photographic use
The filter works well for observation by eye and with monochromatic cameras. Combine it with OIII and SII filters for full color images of emission nebulae. Thus, delicate structures come out contrastingly and clearly.

Simple and durable
The glass sits in a sturdy aluminum mount. You screw it directly into your 2″ eyepiece or camera adapter. No settings required. Just aim and enjoy.
What we recommend
✓ Hydrogen nebulae (HII): excellent fit
✓ Emission nebulae: very detailed
✓ Deep-sky (H-alpha objects): contrast and structure clearly visible
✗ Galaxies: not suitable
✗ Reflection nebulae: not suitable
