Sky-Watcher AZ-GTiX: the dual-saddle GoTo for your own tripod
The AZ-GTiX is the dual-saddle version of the popular AZ-GTi: two Vixen saddles on a GoTo head, allowing you to carry two telescopes at once. Think of a wide-field scope alongside a Maksutov for detail, a telescope next to binoculars or a camera, or simply observing together with two eyepieces on the same target.

The built-in Wi-Fi creates its own network to which you connect using the free SynScan app: choose an object on your phone and the servomotors automatically slew to it, after which the mount continues tracking. The encoders (Freedom-Find) also allow you to move the telescope manually without losing alignment.
This version is the head without a tripod: it screws onto any (photo) tripod with a 3/8-inch connection, from travel tripod to heavy-duty video legs. With a 6 kg payload capacity at a weight of only 2 kg, this is one of the most portable ways to take serious GoTo on your travels.
Included
- AZ-GTiX GoTo mount head with dual Vixen saddle
- Two dovetail clamps (Vixen-style)
For whom yes, for whom no
Ideal for those who want to observe on the go with two instruments at the same time or view together with children or the public. Those who want to photograph long exposures choose an equatorial solution such as the Star Adventurer GTi or AZ-EQ5.
