Omegon Microspeed Guidescope 50 mm: sharp guiding starts with focusing

This 50 mm guidescope combines fast f/4 optics with the Microspeed focuser. The 200 mm focal length provides a wide field of view with almost always a guide star in it, and the 50 mm aperture also makes weaker stars usable.

The Microspeed focuser sets this series apart: a rack and pinion drive with a 10 mm travel focuses the guiding camera infinitely and backlash-free. A sharp guide star is half the battle in guiding, because the software can only correct what it sees sharply.

Completely lightweight constructed

With the 1/4-inch connection, the scope mounts to finder shoes and dovetails without heavy rings. The total weight remains low enough for small mounts.

For the common focal lengths

A guide scope of 200 mm is sufficient as a rule of thumb for main telescopes with a focal length of up to approximately 1000 mm. Beyond that, the 60 mm version with 240 mm is the safer choice.

Featured accessories

For autoguiding with a 1.25-inch guiding camera on main telescopes up to approx. 1000 mm focal length. Camera not included.
