Explore Scientific Filter Set Moon and Planets: dense filters for high light throughput (starting from 200 mm aperture)
This Explore Scientific filter set contains four 1.25-inch color filters, put together for telescopes with an aperture of 200 mm or more. Color filters enhance the contrast between light and dark areas, making details on the moon and planets more visible that would otherwise be lost without a filter.
Every opening requires different filter densities: the larger the telescope, the more light enters and the denser the filters may be. This set is designed for that, so each filter is usable with the telescope you have.

Features
- In this set: Green No. 56: contrast in the cloud belts of Jupiter and Saturn and on ray craters on the Moon
- In this set: Dark blue no. 38A: the Great Red Spot on Jupiter and the Venus atmosphere, best viewed with large apertures
- In this set: Orange No. 21: Dark regions on Mars and cloud detail on the gas giants
- In this set: Light yellow no. 8: lunar relief and Jupiter's cloud belts
- Optical glass, plan parallel polished, with anti-reflective coating
- Black anodized aluminum barrels threaded on both sides: filters are stackable
- Supplied with protective cases per filter
Compatibility
The filters screw into any eyepiece or accessory with 1.25 inch (31.75 mm) filter threads. The double threading allows you to combine two filters if desired.
