Omegon Flip Mirror 1.25″ makes astrophotography a lot easier by allowing you to switch directly between eyepiece and camera. Instead of guessing whether an object is centered or focused correctly, use the flip mirror to get both steps right at once.
With a lever, you fold in or out the internal mirror. In the 45° position, the object appears in the eyepiece for easy and accurate focusing. Thanks to the built-in helical focuser, you adjust eyepiece and camera parfocal: that is, both are in focus at the same time. When the mirror folds down, light passes unobstructed to the camera.
An added benefit is that an object centered in the eyepiece automatically is also centered in the camera sensor. This avoids positioning frustration, especially with cameras without their own viewfinder, such as webcams or CCD cameras.
The flip mirror features a 1.25″ connector that fits virtually any telescope and a T2 thread on the camera side for DSLRs, astro cameras or other accessories.
Application
Suitable for use with refractors and catadioptric telescopes (such as Schmidt-Cassegrain, ACF and Maksutov). Not usable with Newton telescopes because the focal length cannot be achieved with them. Ideal for astrophotographers who want to focus faster and more precisely and get objects exactly centered on the sensor.
