Dark blue color filter 2 inch - Omegon #38A

This 2-inch dark blue color filter from Omegon is specially designed for more contrast when observing planets. On Jupiter, you can see clearer cloud bands, storm areas and details such as the Great Red Spot with this filter. Also on Saturn, the filter helps make the rings and structures in the atmosphere more visible. In addition, it reduces bright moonlight, allowing you to see more details in craters and shadows.

The filter glass is fully colored and mounted in a sturdy, anodized aluminum mount with a thickness of only 5 mm. Thanks to this thin mount, the filter can be used without problems in filter wheels and zenith mirrors. The double filter thread makes it possible to combine multiple filters. The filter comes in a sturdy storage box.
