Vaonis Vespera CLS filter (City Light Suppression) is specially designed to improve the performance of your Vespera smart telescope when observing in urban or suburban areas. Light pollution from street lights or buildings can obscure many details of deep-sky objects. This filter suppresses interfering wavelengths from sodium (Na) and mercury (Hg), the main sources of artificial illumination, while allowing maximum transmission of emissions from deep-sky objects.
The result is an image with more contrast and brightness, in which emission nebulae, star clusters and galaxies become more clearly visible. Examples include the Orion Nebula (M42), the Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237), the Trifid Nebula (M20), as well as objects such as the Hercules Cluster (M13) and the Andromeda Galaxy (M31).
The CLS filter is discreetly placed in the Vespera's optical arm and contains an integrated electronic chip. As a result, the telescope automatically recognizes the filter and adjusts the observation parameters for optimal results.
Application
Perfect for owners of the Vaonis Vespera who engage in astrophotography in areas with light pollution. This filter is especially effective for emission nebulae, but also provides gains for star clusters and bright galaxies.
