Compact and smooth to use

Despite its size, the Stargate is surprisingly portable. The sturdy but dismountable metal structure lets you transport it easily. Within twenty minutes, the telescope is ready under a dark sky. The curved axes and smooth Dobson mount make tracking objects easy. The huge mirror moves quietly and stably, without wobbling.

Razor-sharp and durable

The parabolic main mirror delivers pinpoint stars and high contrast for deep-sky observation. The aluminized coating with multiple SiO₂ layers provides long-term clarity and protection against wear. This keeps your image clear and sharp, year after year.

GoTo and Freedom-Find™

With the SynScan GoTo handset, you quickly select from 42,900 objects. The telescope automatically pinpoints the object. The Dual-Encoder Freedom-Find system lets you move the telescope manually without the computer control losing alignment. This allows you to cover large distances in space with ease.
