Sky-Watcher Mount EQ8-RH Pro SynScan GoTo is the most advanced variant of the EQ8 series and specially designed for demanding astrophotographers. With a carrying capacity of up to 50 kg, you can effortlessly deploy heavy 12″ or 14″ tubes in a fixed observatory or mobile setup.

The difference from the standard EQ8-R is in the Renishaw high-resolution encoder on the straight-climbing axis. It eliminates the need for autoguiding in astrophotography and provides extremely accurate tracking even in long exposures. This not only saves equipment and time, but also guarantees the best possible results for deep-sky photography.

Internal cabling prevents cable breaks, while four USB and three 12V ports allow direct use of cameras and accessories. The belt drive in the declination axis and improved clutches give more stability and smoother movements. Thanks to the SynScan GoTo control with a database of 42,900 objects, you can find any desired object in seconds.

As with the EQ8-R, this mount features Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PPEC). and a Snap-port for direct camera connection. One-, two- or three-star alignment lets you get started quickly, without the need for a polar finder or a clear view of Polaris.

Application
The EQ8-RH Pro is designed for astrophotographers who do not want to compromise in accuracy and tracking. Ideal for prolonged deep-sky exposures with heavy telescopes and cameras, where autoguiding can be omitted. For visual observation, this mount is obviously more than powerful enough, but the real added value is in its unmatched tracking performance for professional astrophotography.
